How to improve your Instagram profile

Design is more important than many people realize. You only have 3 seconds to grab someone's attention on Instagram before they move on to the next post. Your content should be more than a pretty flow. It should be content that expresses the soul and energy of your business. Properly designed content makes this expression possible and stops scrolling to the next post. And because people are wired to look for more of the things we find attractive, that scroll-stop often translates into clicks to your profile. On your Instagram profile, the elements of your profile picture, your bio, and the first nine images at the top of your feed combine to create a presentation of what your brand is all about. Fonts, words, colors and images work together to express a whole that can deeply affect someone in those precious 3 seconds. If your profile is designed right, your content will resonate and magnetically attract the right people to your account. It is similar to the same way people walk through a mall enter a store and look around to decide whether to stay and shop. There is a deep message behind what they do. If you're having trouble discovering the essence of your brand, pretend you're having a cup of tea with a dear friend. You tell that friend why you started your business – why you do what you do. Once you've defined your essential brand statement, the ultimate passion and energy behind what you do, you can apply that knowledge to everything you do.
